Sustainable Sourcing

可持续采购 — Building a responsible and transparent supply chain that upholds our environmental and social values across all tiers of our sourcing network.

Building a Responsible Supply Chain

As a chemical manufacturer serving customers in over 30 countries, our supply chain extends globally. We are committed to ensuring that sustainability principles are embedded throughout our sourcing decisions, from raw material procurement to logistics partnerships.

Sustainable sourcing at Do Sender Chemicals means integrating environmental, social, and ethical criteria into our procurement processes — selecting suppliers who share our commitment to responsible business practices and working collaboratively to drive continuous improvement across the value chain.

🤝

Partnership Approach

We view suppliers as long-term partners, working together to improve sustainability performance rather than imposing unilateral requirements without support.

🌱

Environmental Criteria

Suppliers are evaluated on their environmental management systems, emission performance, resource efficiency, and commitment to continuous improvement.

⚖️

Ethical Standards

We expect suppliers to uphold the highest standards of business ethics, human rights, labor practices, and anti-corruption throughout their operations.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Our Supplier Code of Conduct establishes the minimum standards we expect from all suppliers and subcontractors doing business with Do Sender Chemicals. It is based on internationally recognized frameworks including the UN Global Compact, ILO Core Conventions, and the chemical industry's Responsible Care® initiative.

👤

Human Rights & Labor Standards

Prohibition of forced labor, child labor, and discrimination. Freedom of association, fair wages and working hours, safe and healthy working conditions per ILO conventions.

🏭

Health, Safety & Environment

Robust EHS management systems, compliance with applicable regulations, pollution prevention, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Business Ethics

Zero tolerance for corruption, bribery, and conflicts of interest. Fair competition, protection of confidential information, respect for intellectual property rights.

📋

Management Systems

Suppliers must maintain documented policies, assign accountability, provide training, monitor compliance, and establish grievance mechanisms for their workforce.

Supplier Assessment Program

We employ a risk-based approach to supplier assessment, focusing our resources on suppliers and issues where sustainability risks are highest.

📊 Risk-Based Approach

All suppliers are classified by risk level based on spend, geographic location, raw material criticality, and inherent sustainability risk factors. High-risk suppliers are prioritized for deeper assessment, while routine monitoring is maintained for lower-risk suppliers.

🔍 On-Site Audits

High-risk suppliers undergo periodic on-site sustainability audits conducted by our procurement and EHS teams or qualified third-party auditors. Audits evaluate compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct and identify areas for improvement, with follow-up actions tracked to closure.

🤝 TfS Assessments

For chemical raw material suppliers, we leverage the Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative's standardized assessment framework. TfS assessments and audits are conducted by independent, approved assessors and shared across TfS member companies, reducing audit fatigue while maintaining rigorous standards. Do Sender Chemicals actively participates in the TfS program to benchmark our chemical supply chain sustainability.

Key Raw Materials and Sourcing Practices

The sustainability of our Perodox® products begins with responsible sourcing of key raw materials. We apply sustainability criteria across our major procurement categories.

Raw Material Category Key Materials Primary Sourcing Regions Sustainability Criteria
Hydrogen Peroxide & Oxidizers Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), organic hydroperoxides Shandong Province, Eastern China Supplier ISO 14001 certification, energy-efficient production processes, responsible transport accreditation
Organic Acids & Anhydrides Phthalic anhydride, acetic acid, benzoic acid derivatives Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang Environmental permits in good standing, waste management compliance, carbon footprint disclosure
Alcohols & Solvents Methanol, isododecane, mineral spirits, specialty solvents Shandong, Liaoning, Imported Supplier sustainability assessment, bio-based/recycled content preference where available
Packaging Materials HDPE drums, IBCs, steel drums, corrugated boxes, pallets Shandong, Hebei Recycled content (target ≥30%), recyclability, FSC-certified paper packaging, weight reduction initiatives

All key raw material suppliers are required to acknowledge our Supplier Code of Conduct and participate in our assessment program.

Supplier Diversity Program

We believe a diverse supplier base strengthens our supply chain resilience and contributes to inclusive economic development in the communities where we operate.

🏢

Local Sourcing Preference

Where quality and competitiveness are equal, we prioritize suppliers located in Shandong Province and neighboring regions, reducing transportation emissions while supporting local economic development. Currently, over 60% of our procurement spend (by value) is with suppliers within 500 km of our Zibo facility.

🌱

SME Inclusion

We actively include small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in our supplier base, recognizing their agility, innovation potential, and role in the regional economy. Our procurement processes are designed to be accessible to SMEs with simplified pre-qualification for low-risk categories.

Conflict Minerals Policy

While conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold) are not primary raw materials in organic peroxide manufacturing, we are committed to responsible sourcing of all materials used in our operations and supply chain.

Do Sender Chemicals supports the objectives of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and the US Dodd-Frank Act Section 1502. We require our suppliers to conduct reasonable due diligence on the source and chain of custody of any conflict minerals present in materials supplied to us, and we expect them to source only from conflict-free smelters and refiners.

Sourcing Sustainability Metrics

We track and report key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of our sustainable sourcing program and drive continuous improvement.
